The platform is available to anyone all over the world, irrespective of residence or citizenship, and we would love to have you as a client.
The platform is available to everyone except politically exposed people. The platform may not be used for money laundering and other criminal activities. The platform is not available to people below 18 without the express assistance of a parent or guardian.
We only allow participants who are 18 years or older to be account holders, unless the minor child has the guidance and signed permission of a parent or guardian.
The requirements for an individual to open an account are:
1) Fully completed mandate form
2) Copy of ID, i.e passport
3) Proof of bank details, not older than 3 months
4) Income tax number. If it’s not available reasons why it’s not available. (Reasons can be i) below threshold, ii) student, iii) minor etc)
5) Proof of residence
The requirements for a company to open an account are:
1. Copy of Identity document (Passport, Green bar coded or both sides of the id card) of all Directors & authorised representative
2. Contact details of all Directors & authorized representative (s)– email and cell phone number
3. Proof of Company tax reference number.
4. Copy of company banking details- not older than 3 months
5. Resolution authorizing representative/s to act
6. Copy of company registration documents
7. Copy of shareholding structure (Ultimate beneficial owners)
8. Complete Dividend withholding tax form (Download document in account opening sub tab)
9. Proof of company address- not older than 3 months
The requirements for a Trust to open an account are:
1. Copy of Identity document (Green bar coded or both sides of the id card) of Founding Member, Trustees, Beneficiaries & Authorised representative (s)
2. Contact details of Founding Member, Trustees, Beneficiaries & Authorised Representative – email and cell phone number
3. SA tax reference number of the Trust
4. Copy of the Trust banking details- not older than 3 months
5. Trustees Resolution Authorising Representative to act on the account – signed by trustees
6. Copy of trust deed
7. Proof of trust address- not older than 3 months
Generally it takes 48 to 72 hours from receipt of all required documentation for an account application to be approved.
Once we open an account for you, and we send you the login credentials, you are able to access your account on our web based trading portal.
It is possible to change from one account type to another, but one would have to provide the required documents to switch accounts.

Payments are only accepted as bank transfers to an account managed by Afrifocus Securities.
At the moment we do not accept Bitcoin or any other crypto currency as a way of funding an account.
We accept USD, GBP, BWP and other international currencies for the funding of accounts. Funds sent in other currencies will be converted to ZAR before you can use them to buy shares.
At the moment we do not accept ZWL/RTGS for the funding of an account.
We are not licensed to handle hard cash on behalf of clients, and hence we prefer clients to use electronic and other bank supported ways of sending money.
Funds are only sent to the same account that was used to fund the account. This is to reduce money laundering.
Share certificates are sent to the purchaser via email.
Subject to volumes of transactions and other workload, share certificates are generally sent to the purchaser in about a week after the purchase.
All transactions are effected from funded accounts and no credit facilities are availed for clients.
Statements are sent out via email on a monthly basis
We have a team of professional analysts who report on the listed companies or specific sectors of the economy, and the reports are issued out to our clients regularly, at least monthly.
Recommendations to BUY/SELL/HOLD are issued on select and evaluated counters at least monthly.
In a stock market share prices do up as well as down, which is why we advise investors to invest only the funds they can afford to lose.
When the shares that are being ordered are not available at the time of ordering, the order does not go through / is not filled, and goes on a pending list until it is either filled or cancelled.
Currently we do not allow our clients to short a counter.
Orders tend to take time to reflect on one’s portfolio, therefore day trading is not possible in a situation like that.

Our partner, Afrifocus Securities is registered with the JSE. Lloyd Markets is a subsidiary of Lloyd Corporate Capital which is a Non-Member Institution (NMI) of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE).

It is possible for us to arrange a visit to the JSE for clients, but as you would expect, the clients would have to cover their own costs for this.
